WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Proven experience in AWS cloud services, monitoring and logging solutions, and site reliability engineering principles.
• A track record of SRE or DevOps lead role and implementing reliability testing, alerting, and incident management processes.
• Strong leadership and communication skills (in English), with the ability to drive cross-organizational initiatives and foster collaboration.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS associate and professional-level certificates.
• A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to guide and mentor other DevOps and Site Reliability Engineers.
• We’re seeking a collaborative leader who understands the big picture and is eager to solve company-level challenges to deliver better services and products to our customers.
  We offer a hybrid working model, with flexibility to work remotely. However, we prefer that the chosen candidate is willing to visit our Helsinki office 1-2 days a week to foster collaboration and team engagement.

YOUR ROLE IN OUR JOURNEY:

As a Site Reliability Engineering Lead, you’ll be a key player in shaping the F-Secure SRE view and activities. Reporting to the Platform Engineering Core Lead within the Architecture & Platforms organization, you’ll focus on three pillars: Strategy, Execution, and Collaboration.
In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to shape and drive the SRE strategy for F-Secure, playing a key role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our cloud services. You’ll work as part of a bigger talented team, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and work with cutting-edge observability tools and processes to continuously enhance our systems. This role offers a chance to make a significant impact on how we approach reliability, incident management, and automation, while also fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Our hiring process consists of two interview rounds. First, you’ll have an introduction interview, followed by a technical pre-task. In the final stage, you’ll meet with the team to review your pre-task submission and dive deeper into technical discussions, as well as team and culture fit.

WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE:

• Strategic development: Drive the vision and strategy for F-Secure’s SRE practices, ensuring alignment with business goals and a proactive approach to reliability and scalability.
• Execution leadership: Lead the SRE operations, including incident response, reliability testing, and the implementation of observability tools and processes.
• Process ownership: Manage and continuously improve SRE processes such as service level objectives (SLOs), error budgets, and incident management frameworks.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with development, cloud, and security teams to enhance system reliability, optimize infrastructure, and maintain compliance standards.
• Continuous improvement: Identify and address key challenges related to service availability, scalability, and operational efficiency while fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
