EXPERIENCE

-Minimum of 2 years experience in a preventative safety role in the construction industry.
-CSO or NCSO certification, or currently working towards
-Advanced First Aid Certification
-Experience in mid-rise apartments is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Some of the things you can expect as the Site Safety Representative include:
-Conducting site orientations and safety meetings
-Performing project site inspections of work area, tools, equipment, etc.
-Leading and coordinating safety with subcontractors
-Administering first aid and emergency procedures
-Participating on the company JOHS committee
-Working with the project team and contractors to pre-plan critical path tasks to mitigate safety concern
-And completing a variety of other safety-related tasks and documentation requirements.
This role reports to the project Site Supervisor and works in coordination with the company Safety Manager.
