Job Title: Site Scheduler
Location: Northern BC (Stikine Region)
Employment Type: 12-Month Contract – Possibility of Extension
Shift Schedule: 2 Weeks On / 1 Week Off – FIFO Rotation
Accommodation & Travel: Camp accommodations and transportation to/from rotation provided
Pay Rate: $50-70/hour as a T4 or INC

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of experience in mining (preferred) or heavy industrial construction projects.
  • 5+ years specializing in project scheduling.
  • Diploma/degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (asset).
  • Experience with remote site FIFO projects preferred.
  • Advanced Primavera P6 proficiency required; knowledge of other scheduling tools is an asset.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Proven leadership, organization, and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Willingness to travel to remote sites on a rotational basis.
  • Adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Site Scheduler to support a major mining operation in Northern BC. In this role, you will develop, maintain, and monitor the integrated master schedule, ensuring alignment between owners, consultants, and contractors. You’ll play a critical part in identifying risks, tracking progress, and keeping the project on course to meet key milestones.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain the integrated master schedule with inputs from all stakeholders.
  • Provide scheduling templates and guidance to project teams for building and updating their schedules.
  • Issue weekly schedule updates to the broader project team.
  • Monitor scheduling trends, identify risks or conflicts, and recommend solutions.
  • Validate project forecasts against the master schedule and account for constraints such as resources and material availability.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports, reconciling schedule data to baselines and control plans.
  • Compare actual progress with contractor reports to identify variances.
  • Support contractors, consultants, and vendors in meeting contractual scheduling requirements.
  • Assist in planning and sequencing engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
  • Perform other scheduling duties as required.
