Responsibilities

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To manage the Bidvest Noonan Security staff at the clients Facilities over a 24 hour/365-day operation, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and Security legislation and Best practice.
  • Conduct regular security audits to ensure that standards are maintained and to identify potential risks whilst aiming to constantly improve the standards and performance levels of security and customer service provided to the client and their Clients.
  • The production of the Client’s Monthly Report is to be ready on first day of the month.
  • Ensure all security related procedures are documented, tested and practiced in conjunction with existing Assignment Instructions and ARK Data Centres policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for Timegate updates, Communicating Rosters, basis and inputting of Staff Holidays.
  • Provide regular updates on technical security practices ensuring systems are working correctly.
  • Responsible for booking all training for CCTV, First Aid and Customer Care Courses using the Training Booking Forms.
  • Creating and disseminating training to all staff, updating the training matrix.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Primary point of contact for both Bidvest Noonan and Client Staff for day-to-day operations.
  • Build positive relationships with the client and other key stakeholders.
  • Ensure all client queries and complaints are dealt with in a timely and effective manner and that the client is kept fully informed of what action has/is being taken.
  • Conducts periodic management visits to all Bidvest Noonan Security duty areas to ensure standards are being maintained in line with ARK Data Centres expectations.
  • Prepares, produces and updates Assignment Instructions for the establishment detailing the duties and responsibilities of each guard post.
  • Ensures the implementation of general and site-specific physical security training.
  • Maintains up to date Training Records for each member of the security staff.
  • Carry out annual documented reviews of all Assignment Instructions, Assignment Information Sheets and training literature. Update all ARK Data Centres security related documentation within operational buildings as needed.
  • Implements the mechanism for conducting tests of security team members (observational tests, site knowledge tests and procedural tests) and undertake those tests.
  • Provides security team members with all relevant security threat developments and information in order to ensure that their knowledge is current.
  • Documents radio communication equipment serial numbers and inventory. Provide records to the employer as requested.
  • Produce reports as and when requested by ARK Security Manager such as:
  • Monthly Security Reports
  • Monthly Client Data Reports
  • CCTV functionality reports.Any other report required by ARK Data Centres or Bidvest Noonan Security


    • Ensure all reports are completed in a timely manner and issued or uploaded to the appropriate person or system

    • Ensure targets are reached in line with ARK Data Centres expectations.
    • Oversee all Security Control Rooms, liaising with the ARK Data Centres management team to develop operational capabilities and to ensure that CCTV and Lenel system infrastructure is maintained and developed.
    • Establishes and maintains close working relationships with the ARK Data Centres management team and appropriate external agencies to include, but not limited to, MOD Police and Local Authorities.
    • Monitors and self-audits compliance to the satisfaction of ARK Data Centres/Bidvest Noonan Security and any third party employed by ARK Data Centres in an audit function.
    • Ensures that all SIA licensing is current and relevant to the work undertaken by ARK Data Centres.
    • Attend Meetings as required by ARK Data Centres and Bidvest Noonan Security such as
    • Bidvest Noonan / CBRE Management Meeting
    • ARK Data Centres / Bidvest Noonan Meeting
    • Construction MeetingsAny other meeting requested by ARK Data Centres or Bidvest Noonan Security


      • Archives all auditable documentation on an indefinite basis and provide a register of auditable documentation for inspection purposes.

      • Ensure there is adequate supply of all necessary Bidvest Noonan DOBs, notebooks, literature and stationery in order for security staff to undertake their duties effectively.
      • Updates and inputs Time Gate data, ensuring security staff are paid correctly and that they receive the correct amount of Annual Leave.
      • Ensure all Bidvest Noonan Security staff have appraisals.
      • Produces and maintains Personal Files for all security staff.
      • Undertakes security investigations and hold staff discipline interviews as needed.
      • Manages the security contracted staff over a 24 hour/365-day operation, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and security legalisation.
