The role of the Security Coordinator will be to enable the National Security Operations Manager to focus on client initiatives, security strategy, delivery of service and longer term vision driving the security provision further along and being able to dedicate time to support the clients undertaking security reviews / assessments / projects etc
The role of the Security Coordinator will work closely with the National Security Operations Manager who will be able to give direction, guidance and advice as needed. The Security Coordinator needs to have extensive experience and qualifications and be a self-starter able to manage their own workload and that of their team and to be able to convey to everyone how and why certain things are done from a security perspective and what best practice looks like.
The role of the Security Coordinator is a key position which will see their time divided as a 50 / 50 split with administrative tasks and team management.
The role is to support and enable the team to grow and to be equipped to deal with requests on a day to day basis, enabling and encouraging others to elevate themselves and their skillsets always working to best practice.
The post holder will need to be able to communicate effectively at all levels including senior clients and able to convey knowledge and confidence but also able to demonstrate evidence of any tasks as requested.
The post holder needs to exemplify best practice in all that they do and will be a role model for all Security team members to aspire to.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
o The role is the go to person for Monday to Friday Security BAU tasks / request at a GHQ
o The role will oversee and manage the Frontline teams ensuring that they are complaint with the senior managements instructions, and the quality of the service provision is consistently maintained, driven forward and elevated where possible.
o To Support the business by operating on the shop floor at times of specific need such as VIP events
o Be able to manage and oversee corporate hospitality events
HEALTH AND SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
o Ensure work is carried out in accordance with site / department procedures and training providedo Comply with SecuriGroup’s Health and Safety Policy, procedures and protocols at all timeso Ensure your staff have received the required training prior to commencing workso Ensure that your staff are working in accordance with the safe system of worko Report any health and safety concerns to your line managero Be able to conduct risk assessment o Be able to train your team members
First AiderHealth and Safety responsibilities
All First Aiders must complete an accredited First Aid at Work training course and provide first aid in accordance with training provided and attend a refresher training course every 3 years - all First Aiders shall:
o Respond promptly to all requests for assistance o Summon further help when necessary (can be from other first aiders or the emergency services)o Look after the casualty until recovery has taken place or further medical assistance has arrived o Report details of any treatment administeredo Ensure M&G Accident form is completed and SecuriGroup’s for any SecuriGroup employee who may have suffered an injury or accident
