Red Badge Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a Security Site Supervisor for Centre Place, one of Hamilton's busiest retail spaces. This vital role supports the delivery of safe, welcoming, and memorable environments in a large retail space. As a Security Site Supervisor, you will lead by example, ensuring operational excellence, team engagement, and outstanding service delivery. This role is on a Monday - Friday roster working during normal business hours. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise on‑site security staff, providing clear direction and role‑modeling professional standards. Manage day‑to‑day security operations, ensuring full site coverage and compliance with Centre Place SOPs. Act as the primary on‑site escalation point for all security, medical, fire, and behavioural incidents. Coordinate emergency responses in line with the site Emergency Response Procedures. Oversee CCTV, access control, alarms, and key systems, ensuring privacy and data compliance. Maintain accurate, timely incident reporting Build and maintain strong working relationships with Centre Management, tenants, and external stakeholders. Manage staff attendance, shift handovers, and operational priorities to prevent service gaps. Support induction, training, coaching, and ongoing performance development of security staff. Ensure health and safety, risk management, and Red Badge Group values are upheld at all times. Required Skills and Experience 1–3 years’ experience in a people leadership or supervisory role, ideally within security, retail, facilities, events, hospitality, or a related environment. Current NZ COA licence, or equivalent leadership experience within the security sector. Proven ability to manage day‑to‑day operations in small to medium client environments. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across diverse groups. Sound knowledge of security best practice, compliance, health and safety, and risk management. Confidence in incident reporting, documentation, and use of security systems. Clean criminal conviction record and physical capability to meet operational demands. Eligibility to work in New Zealand and aged 18 years or over.
