Description

JOIN A GLOBAL LEADER IN FMCG INNOVATION

Imperial Brands is a forward-thinking, inclusive global FMCG business, powered by the dedication of over 25,000 employees worldwide. We’re currently seeking an experienced and versatile Site Services Maintenance Engineer to become a key part of our well-established Site Services team.
This is a full-time, Monday to Friday role (8am–4pm), with occasional out-of-hours support to ensure smooth operational continuity. You’ll be responsible for maintaining and servicing a wide range of plant equipment and associated services, working collaboratively within a multi-functional team across both mechanical and electrical disciplines.
To thrive in this role, you’ll ideally bring experience from a development-focused environment, a strong service mindset when working with internal stakeholders, and a proactive approach with a genuine passion for continuous improvement.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Carry out planned and corrective maintenance tasks, while actively contributing to the continuous improvement of maintenance processes and procedures.
  • Recommend enhancements to preventive maintenance schedules and advise on spare parts to maximise equipment availability and reliability.
  • Collaborate with OEMs and internal teams to analyse technical data, implement equipment upgrades, and support asset projects from design through to handover.
  • Provide mechanical expertise across motors, pumps, belts, bearings, pneumatics, and fabrication, including fault diagnosis, repairs, and installations.
  • Support operational teams with equipment setup, operator training, and ensure compliance with safety procedures such as Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) and GMP standards.
  • Assist with site compliance activities, including audits, contractor documentation, and maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised work environment.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Hold a Level 3 NVQ or recognised engineering qualification, with experience in planned preventative maintenance and working within GMP cleanroom environments.
  • Demonstrate a thorough, disciplined, and proactive approach to tasks, with strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Possess excellent communication abilities—verbal, written, and listening—suitable for interacting across all levels.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a strong commitment to Health & Safety standards and compliance.
