Managed Services is a business segment that supports the Customer Channels Group, which provides critical on-site services at customer locations focused on research operations efficiency and effectiveness.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Site Specialist ensures continuous availability and correct management of laboratory consumables, reagents, and materials. This role focuses on procurement, inventory control, labeling, and documentation to maintain uninterrupted support for laboratory activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Technical or commercial education with laboratory or supply chain experience.
  • Experience with laboratory inventory or ERP systems preferred.
  • Awareness of GMP/GSP requirements an advantage.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Ability to work based on defined performance goals.
  • Maintain Thermo Fisher Scientifics’ Four-I Values.
  • Strong communication skills and customer focus on delivering excellent customer service including always maintaining a professional appearance.
  • Use a computer and possess intermediate skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Flexibility beyond the normal business hours may be required.

Responsibilities
  • Order, receive, and restock laboratory consumables, reagents, and chemicals using KanBan and other systems.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, perform stock checks, and monitor expiry dates.
  • Label (including barcode) reagents and chemicals; archive materials as required.
  • Coordinate internal and external shipments, including HPLC columns, pipettes, and test equipment.
  • Prepare laboratory vials, syringes, tubes, cassettes, columns, and boxes for use.
  • Document all material movements to ensure traceability and compliance with site SOPs.
  • Liaise with internal teams and suppliers to resolve any supply chain issues promptly.
  • Understanding and handling department-specific PowerApps and system programs; carry out complete inventories
