QUALIFICATIONS

  • Red Seal trade certification (carpentry preferred)
  • Gold Seal Certification (asset)
  • 10+ years of on-site construction experience, specializing in formwork concrete for commercial, high-rise, mixed-use, or institutional projects
  • 3+ years of leadership experience as a superintendent or foreman
  • Strong knowledge of OH&S regulations and employment standards legislation
  • Proficient in reading structural, architectural, civil, and mechanical drawings
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Field Operations Manager, the Site Superintendent is responsible for executing the concrete scope of assigned projects safely, on time, and within budget. This includes supervising employees, sub-contractors, and suppliers, while ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead day-to-day site activities and supervise workers, sub-contractors, and site visitors
  • Manage project schedules and resources to ensure milestones are met
  • Coordinate construction activities with prime contractors and trade partners
  • Provide leadership and development for Pagnotta employees, including performance reviews and training
  • Enforce company and legislative safety policies and procedures
  • Conduct inspections, quality control, and ensure compliance with drawings and specifications
  • Maintain accurate project documentation (RFIs, as-builts, site reports, etc.)
  • Support hiring efforts by interviewing potential new site employees
  • Oversee the use and maintenance of company equipment and tools
