JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Site Superintendent to play a key role in supporting our project management teams and Owners throughout all phases of construction. In this role, you will oversee communication with subcontractors and vendors, address any concerns, and ensure accurate progress documentation through daily logs. Beyond handling logistical responsibilities, you will prioritize team engagement and safety by fostering strong relationships with on-site personnel and promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
As Creo’s Site Superintendent, you bring an in-depth knowledge of WorksafeBC standards, project coordination, and construction systems. Clear communication, strategic planning, and exceptional leadership are key strengths you will demonstrate in this role. QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of five(5) years of on-site construction experience in a similar role.
  • Level 1 First Aid
  • Good working knowledge of current construction methods, materials, procedures, drawings, specifications, and building codes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Ability to work with a service-oriented attitude, courtesy, tact, and diplomacy under stressful situations with constant interruptions.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Commitment to maintaining respectful and collaborative relationships with all stakeholders and team members.
  • Red Seal and/or Gold Seal certification is considered an asset.
  • Site works and concrete experience is considered an asset.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, schedule, organize, direct, and control construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Develop and maintain construction schedules, monitor progress, and make necessary adjustments to meet project milestones.
  • Coordinate material and equipment deliveries with suppliers and vendors.
  • Maintain communication with subcontractors and vendors, addressing concerns and documenting progress through detailed daily logs.
  • Supervise field activities, providing direction and problem-solving for subcontractors, consultants, and staff.
  • Prioritize team engagement and safety, actively interacting with on-site personnel and fostering a supportive environment.
  • Ensure site safety by complying with company policies and WorkSafeBC standards, and conducting regular safety meetings with trades.
  • Conduct preconstruction planning, on-site project meetings, and generate RFIs to address project discrepancies.
  • Mentor and train field personnel, providing ongoing performance evaluations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including Owners, Consultants, Subcontractors, and Suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal construction regulations.
  • Liaise with inspection authorities to secure necessary approvals.
  • Identify and resolve non-compliance issues, offering effective solutions for deficiencies or problems.
