JOB OVERVIEW:

Downright Demolition Ltd., a leader in interior demolition services in Edmonton, is looking for a highly organized and experienced Superintendent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily progress of demolition projects, ensuring the effective scheduling of crews and equipment, coordinating materials and subcontractors, and ensuring safety compliance on site. This role requires strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in overseeing demolition projects, with a strong knowledge of interior demolition processes.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in using email, text, and CRM systems.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and experience managing on-site safety.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
  • Job Progress Oversight: Monitor the daily progress of interior demolition projects, ensuring that work is performed on time and within scope.
  • Scheduling: Plan and schedule crews, equipment, and resources effectively to meet project deadlines.
  • Coordination: Coordinate the delivery of materials and management of subtrades to ensure smooth project flow.
  • Safety Management: Enforce safety standards on site, conduct safety meetings, and ensure all safety protocols are adhered to at all times.
  • Client & Staff Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, team members, and subcontractors, providing updates as needed.
  • Written Communication: Utilize email, text, and CRM systems to communicate effectively, track project progress, and document important information.
  • Problem Solving: Address any issues or obstacles that arise on site, ensuring that solutions are implemented quickly and efficiently.
