A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SINGLE - FAMILY SITE SUPERINTENDENT * We're looking for an experienced individual in the home-building industry, who is comfortable with the technological tools that make managing a project easier. * You are comfortable with the complexities and details that come with building quality homes. Specifically, you'll have strong experience with Project Management software to ensure on-time completion of new homes and the scheduling of trades. * You'll communicate with trades, customers, sales staff, office staff and the service team throughout the construction process. * You will be responsible to ensure work done by trades partners is 100% complete before payment is authorized and will work with them to ensure they meet timelines provided in the construction schedule. * Safety will also be a key aspect of your role as you ensure hazard assessments, tool-box meetings, and safe work practices are in place for all sites. WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TABLE * 7-10 years experience in handling residential construction site management. * A designation in Project Management (PMP) or equivalent education and experience would be an asset. * Strong ability to multitask; be proactive; and understand attention to detail. * Must have a sense of urgency and an ability to delegate and make judgement calls. * Good computer skills including Outlook and Excel. Familiarity with BuildPro is an asset. * Preference will be given to candidates who have completed the PHBIA's Residential Site Management Program.
