POSITION OVERVIEW

The Site Manager is responsible for the day-to-day onsite coordination, supervision, and quality control of all construction activities. This role ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, to the highest standard, and in accordance with Lighthouse Custom Homes’ values, policies, and procedures. The Site Manager acts as the primary onsite contact for the project manager’s, trades, suppliers, and the inspectors, fostering a safe and productive work environment.

Responsibilities

· Project Execution & Scheduling updates. Daily logs completed in Buildertrend.
· Manage and oversee daily construction activities on assigned sites from excavation to final handover.
· Coordinate scheduling of trades, deliveries, and inspections to maintain project timelines.
· Monitor progress against project schedules and proactively address delays or issues.
· Quality Control & Standards
· Enforce construction quality standards and ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and industry best practices.
· Conduct regular quality inspections at key project milestones.
· Ensure deficiencies are addressed promptly.
· Site Coordination & Communication
· Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for trades, suppliers, and clients.
· Maintain clear, consistent communication with the Project Manager and head office.
· Facilitate and document site meetings as required.
· Health & Safety
· Maintain a safe worksite by enforcing safety policies, hazard assessments, and compliance with OH&S regulations.
· Conduct daily site inspections to identify and mitigate safety risks.
· Promote a culture of safety among all trades and workers.
· Documentation & Reporting through Buildertrend.
· Maintain accurate daily site logs, including work completed, site visitors, inspections, and incidents.
· Track and report progress, delays, and issues to the project managers & Construction Manager.
· Assist in managing change orders and documenting site instructions.
· Trade & Material Management.
· Oversee and coordinate all trade partners to ensure work is completed to standard and on schedule.
· Verify materials delivered to site match specifications and quality requirements.
· Minimize waste and maintain a clean, organized job site.
· Qualifications & Skills
· 5+ years of residential construction experience, preferably in custom home building.
· Proven track record in managing projects from foundation to occupancy.
· Strong understanding of construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations.
· Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
· Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
· Proficient in construction management software, MS Office Suite, and digital reporting tools.
· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
