As one of our Site Managers you will be responsible for managing a number of construction sites through all aspects of construction. You would be responsible for, among other things, the following:
· Review and understand construction plans and associated drawings
· Plan and execute each construction project from start to finish, on time and on budget
· Operate a safe, secure and clean worksite at all times that is in line with company standards and OHS guidelines.
· Coordinate and oversee City Inspections
· Maintain & update project schedules daily
· Coordination & scheduling with sub-contractors and suppliers through effective phone & email communication
· Report to and work with the Construction Operations Manager as required
· Resolve on-site issues with sub-contractors, suppliers & team members as they arise
· Maintaining high-quality work and efficient building processes
· Ongoing and thorough review and quality control of all construction aspects throughout life of project
· Ensure construction of projects are in line with standard specifications, building codes, as-per plans & any changes requested
· Communicating & meeting with customers for walkthroughs, pre-occupancy, possessions, post-possessions & answering construction related questions as they arise
· Have the ability to perform minor repairs on-site as they arise, both pre & post- possession
· Coordination & completion of any warranty related deficiencies as part of the New Home Warranty program
QUALIFICATIONS TO MAINTAIN OR STRIVE TOWARDS:
· Effective time management skills, excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize to meet multiple deadlines
· Ability to travel to Banff, and work in Calgary Region
· Technical knowledge of the Multi-Family Residential Construction Industry
· Comfortable communicating with customers & sub-contractors
· Proficient with technology & experience with MS Office, Excel & Outlook
· Work well in a team or independently
· Excellent communication and written email skills
· Ability to perform on-site warranty related repairs, pre and post-occupancy repairs & to help lift materials to and from sites
· Courses and/or Certificates in Building Science & Building Code are considered an asset
· Understanding of the Alberta New Home Warranty guidelines
· Team attitude and willingness to take on jobs
· Experience with Construction Software is an asset
· Reliable vehicle to get to and from each job site
