Description:
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Superintendent to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the ICI market, with at least 4 years of experience in a superintendent role. The Site Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires travel to various project sites, including Grimsby, Burlington, and Markham.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Site Superintendent in the construction industry, preferably with a focus on ICI, and sanitary environments
- Strong understanding of the ICI market and the specific requirements for sanitary construction.
- Previous experience as a Project Manager in the ICI market.
- Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions on-site.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in construction.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
- Valid drivers license and the ability to commute to various project sites in Grimsby, Burlington, and Markham.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure efficient project execution.
- Monitor project progress, prepare progress reports, and communicate updates to project managers and stakeholders.
- Review and interpret project drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure accurate implementation.
- Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction.
- Ensure all work is completed according to schedule and within budget.
- Implement and enforce health and safety protocols on-site.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Facilitate effective communication between all project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and contractors.
- Maintain project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.
