ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Jilmark Construction Ltd. is looking for a full-time Site Supervisor based in Winnipeg, MB.
Reporting to the President, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing construction projects and contributing to project estimating and coordination across a range of commercial builds.
In this position, you will be primarily responsible for managing daily site operations, maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, and ensuring construction projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the company’s quality standards.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinating all aspects of construction projects from permitting to completion
  • Supervising contractors, sub-trades, and consultants on site
  • Participating in estimating and bidding activities
  • Managing project documentation, scheduling, and reporting
  • Maintaining site organization and enforcing safety standards (COR)
  • Acting as the main point of contact for owners, inspectors, and trades
  • Leading site meetings and tracking action items
  • Identifying and resolving issues with initiative and a team-first mindset

ABOUT YOU

To qualify, you will need a diploma in Construction Management or Architectural/Engineering Technology, and ideally 1–3+ years of supervisory experience in commercial construction.

The following are required:

  • A valid Manitoba driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Willingness and ability to travel to local project sites within one hour of Winnipeg

Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:

  • Experience in site coordination, project support, or estimating
  • Familiarity with commercial construction processes and job site operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and MS Project
  • Understanding of COR safety standards and site safety protocols
  • Experience coordinating sub-trades, consultants, and inspectors
  • Completion of a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) or project management program
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong initiative and ability to manage tasks independently
