Based across the UK on our projects you will work on our Large Infrastructure within our Power Transmission and Distribution Projects.

THE FOLLOWING QUALITIES/EXPERIENCE ARE ESSENTIAL:

  • Previous experience of the construction and delivery of Overhead Line, Cabling or Substation schemes up to 400kV
  • Experience of supervising subcontractors
  • Experience in implementing safe systems of work
  • Effective Communication Skills
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Ability to lead, develop and motivate a team for success
  • Holds a current driving license

THE FOLLOWING QUALITIES/EXPERIENCE ARE DESIRABLE:

  • Commercial awareness with knowledge of both budgetary and financial control
  • Good understanding of current safety legislation

Responsibilities

THE LOCATION OF THIS ROLE IS ABERDEEN

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Liaise with the Construction Manager and/or Site Engineer to ensure a timely requisition for sufficient plant and equipment is made, giving adequate notice to Resources.
  • Supervising site operatives and subcontrators
  • Ensure all site personnel have the correct authorisations to operate plant or receive permits.
  • Ensure that all externally sourced services (Trak way, footbridges etc) are in placeprior to site activities starting.
  • Be responsible for the operatives time sheets being filled in correctly, showing thedaily progress, operatives names, rates, works numbers, hours worked, plant andvehicles (hired and BB owned) utilised and work carried out.
  • Assist the Engineer in carrying out weekly inspections of all plant, lifting equipment and recording on the appropriate forms.
  • Ensure Permit to Work near Existing Services documentation is clearly and correctly carried out for all groundbreaking activities related to construction works
  • Leadership of Zero Harm and drive for continuous improvement across SHEQ within projects
  • Responsible for the health, safety and welfare of all persons under your control
