Responsibilities
  • Manage manpower planning and task assignment for production workers to ensure efficient operations.
  • Assist the Erection Engineer in the assembly and erection of the Launching Girder and Segment Lifting Frame.
  • Collaborate with the Erection Engineer and Commissioning Superintendent to commission and perform load testing of the Launching Girder.
  • Supervise erection crew during segment assembly and post-tensioning of spans.
  • Operate and supervise the Launching Girder for self-launching to subsequent spans, following launching kinematics as provided by the Methods Engineer.
  • Manage the operation of the Launching Girder for load transfer onto piers in accordance with the Method Engineer’s load transfer data.
  • Ensure safe operation of the Launching Girder and maintain a safe working environment for the erection crew.
  • Support the Erection Engineer in the erection of viaducts according to project schedules from the Construction Manager/Deputy Construction Manager.
  • Assist in the dismantling, packing, and transfer of the Launching Girder to VSL MA warehouse for storage under guidance of the Erection Engineer and Superintendent.
  • Conduct Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Determine Controls (HIRADC).
  • Conduct Environmental Aspect and Impact (EAI) assessments.
  • Perform vigilance inspections to detect unsafe acts or conditions, implement corrective actions, and ensure closure.
  • Implement, monitor, and recommend continuous improvement initiatives aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
