Description

We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to take responsibility for the management, coordination, and supervision of site activities, including subcontractors and resources.
Responsibilities
Health & Safety
Ensure all works comply with the company’s Safety Statement and statutory requirements.
Implement and maintain HSQE policies and site safety management systems.
Oversee health and safety performance of staff and subcontractors on site.
Review and contribute to Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
Conduct site safety briefings, toolbox talks, and daily task planning.
Ensure all staff and subcontractors are inducted and signed onto relevant safety documentation.
Carry out regular HSQE inspections and ensure corrective actions are completed.
Quality Control
Review drawings, specifications, and quality standards for compliance.
Monitor and inspect works to maintain high-quality output.
Identify and rectify defects promptly, ensuring client approval upon completion.
Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) where necessary and share lessons learned.
Environmental Management
Ensure compliance with Waste Management Permits and environmental regulations.
Monitor site activities to avoid environmental impacts or breaches.
Planning & Coordination
Supervise and coordinate site labor, plant, and subcontractors.
Assist in developing and implementing short-term lookahead programmes.
Manage resources efficiently to maximize productivity and control costs.
Report progress to the Site Agent/Project Manager and liaise with stakeholders.
Support the identification and development of future team leaders.
Documentation & Reporting
Ensure all permits, RAMS, and relevant documentation are approved before works begin.
Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, labor, and plant returns.
Participate in site meetings, providing progress updates and addressing issues.
Track and close out HSQE inspection actions.
Commercial Awareness
Monitor costs, resource usage, and productivity levels to stay within budget.
Assess the impact of delays, variations, and change orders on programme and costs.
Identify opportunities to minimize overtime, waste, and inefficiencies.
People Management
Lead and motivate the site team, assigning daily tasks and ensuring deadlines are met.
Foster effective communication between team members, management, and stakeholders.
Resolve site issues and conflicts promptly, maintaining smooth operations.
Promote a positive and safe working culture.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years’ experience supervising construction works in Ireland or the UK.
Proven track record in delivering projects safely, on time, and to budget.
Completion of Site Safety Supervisor training (or equivalent).
Strong understanding of HSQE principles.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Full clean driving license.
Proficiency in written and spoken English.
Right to work without visa sponsorship.
