We are looking for a Site Supervisor to provide oversight and direction to each project as it progresses. Planning, organizing, controlling and safety are four pillars to this job. The ideal candidate can meet deadlines, solve problems and be able to give clear verbal and written communications.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10 years of experience as a site supervisor
  • A sold grasp of building concepts and details
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • WHMIS, Fall Arrest and First Aid Certification (Required)
  • Strong team-building skills
  • Ability to work with everyone, from the trades to the owner, in a productive and professional manner
  • Leadership skills
  • Ability to consistently achieve on-time and on-budget objectives
  • Must drive Management’s schedule
Responsibilities
  • Work with the Project Manager, Project Coordinator, and Senior Management on building planning
  • Coordinating purchase of materials and tracking inventory with the Project Manager
  • Attend and running site meetings
  • Keep a daily log of project information and timely submittal of paperwork
  • Meet project schedules and budgets as presented by the Project manager or Project Coordinator
  • Ensure projects are being run efficiently to stay within budget while still maintaining quality. This will include: site safety, site housekeeping, site security, company tool maintenance and equipment maintenance
  • Work with Project Manager and Project Coordinator on providing labour, subtrades and material
  • Supervising and instructing the on-site team as well as subcontractors
  • Educating site workers on safety regulations and accident protocol and enforcing site safety rules to minimize work-related accidents and injuries
  • Handle site accidents in accordance with established accident protocol
  • Prepare bi-weekly look ahead schedules and review overall project schedule with Project Manager
  • Keep and maintain an up-to-date record of all contract documents including: drawings, specifications, site instructions, contracts, change orders, RFI’s, consultants and other officials’ reports/directions, meeting minutes and safety documentation
  • Operation of machinery as needed
