We currently have an opportunity for an Site Supervisor in Auckland to join our Health and Education team and play a key role in delivering the Facilities Management (FM) service at the NZ Schools PPP Project.    Te Kōwhiringa | The Opportunity  Downer’s Social Infrastructure and Citizen Services is a leading provider of integrated facilities services with clients across Australia and New Zealand. The NZ Schools PPP is a partnership between Amber Infrastructure, the Ministry of Education, and Downer Company, focusing on enhancing educational environments across several schools in New Zealand. The project aims to deliver quality educational spaces efficiently, ensuring value for money and effective service delivery, with Downer handling various support services such as cleaning, security, and utilities management. Two secondary schools are located in Christchurch, two primary schools in Auckland and one primary school in Hamiton.   We’re looking for a hands-on Site Supervisor to oversee daily facilities operations, ensuring all services are delivered safely, efficiently, and to contract standards. You’ll work closely with our Operations Coordinator and contractors to manage service requests, uphold quality, and maintain excellent customer satisfaction.   What You’ll Do  This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including: * Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance and service delivery activities on site. * Manage work orders and inspections to ensure quality, safety, and compliance. * Support contractors by clarifying scope, access, and site procedures. * Communicate effectively with the school, service partners, and internal teams to resolve issues quickly. * Identify hazards, report risks, and uphold Zero Harm and maintenance standards.   This is a fantastic role that will suit someone who is outcome-focused, enjoys a challenge, and is able to take initiative whilst building great relationships with our team and client.   Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills * 1+ years’ experience in operational facilities or asset management with strong client relationship skills. * Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with excellent written and verbal communication. * Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively. * Customer-focused team player who can also work independently. * Demonstrates professionalism, strong reporting skills, and alignment with Downer’s values.   More than anything, you’ll bring a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for our clients.   Ko wai mātou | Our Organisation  At Downer, we plan, create, and sustain essential public services across Australia and New Zealand.
