SITE SUPERVISOR - OLYMPIC DAM

The Role
We are currently seeking applications to join our team as a Site Supervisor working at Olympic Dam. This is a FIFO role with a 14 days on and 14 days off roster and will have a 12-14 months Fixed Term Contract. This project involves underground installation of over 5km of paste reticulation including the management of civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation works.

Duties include but not limited to;

  • Supervise daily underground mining operations, ensuring adherence to schedules, safety standards, and quality control.
  • Monitor the performance of workers and subcontractors to ensure efficient and safe workflow.
  • Ensure compliance with mining safety standards, company policies, and legal regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and hazard assessments of the underground site.
  • Lead safety meetings and training.
  • Develop work plans and schedules in collaboration with engineers and senior management.
  • Track project milestones, production targets, and resource needs (labour, equipment, materials).
  • Adjust operational plans to deal with unforeseen challenges, such as equipment failure or geological issues.
  • Prepare progress reports for project managers and senior leadership.
