ABOUT REFYT:

REFYT Ltd is a fast-growing retrofit contractor and consultancy delivering large-scale decarbonisation and energy efficiency projects across the UK. We specialise in government-backed schemes like ECO4, GBIS, SHDF and the GLA’s Warmer Homes programme. EDUCATION:

• Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent), ideally including Maths, English, and a technical subject.
• NVQ/SVQ Level 3 or 4 in Construction, Building Services, or Site Supervision is preferred.
• Vocational qualifications such as City & Guilds, BTEC, or similar in construction, energy efficiency, or building studies.
• Relevant certifications in retrofit, energy assessment, and site safety, e.g., PAS 2035, Retrofit Assessor, Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA), SSSTS.
• Practical experience in construction, maintenance, or retrofit projects is highly valued.

EXPERIENCE:

• 4–5 years of on-site and technical experience in building construction, maintenance, or retrofit projects.
• In-depth knowledge of Energy Efficiency Measures (EEMs) and construction detailing.
• Working knowledge of Building Regulations (especially Parts L, F, C, and O).
• Familiarity with PAS 2035 and retrofit frameworks (e.g., ECO4, SHDF, HUG).
• Confidence using inspection software, Microsoft Office, and project tracking tools.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative approach to work.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills.

THE ROLE – SITE SUPERVISOR (RETROFIT):

We’re looking for a Retrofit Site Supervisor to ensure our retrofit projects are delivered safely, effectively, and to the highest standard. You’ll be the eyes and ears on-site, working closely with coordination and delivery teams to ensure Energy Efficiency Measures (EEMs) comply with PAS 2035, building regulations, and REFYT’s quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct site inspections before and after the installation of EEMs.
• Ensure all works meet PAS 2035 and relevant Building Regulations.
• Monitor and report on the quality, safety, and effectiveness of measures such as insulation, heating, and ventilation systems.
• Maintain detailed photographic and written records for compliance and funding purposes.
• Identify and follow up on defects or non-conformances with site teams and subcontractors.
• Liaise with internal teams to promote quality, consistency, and process improvements.
• Update internal systems with accurate site information.
• Escalate complex issues and collaborate across teams for a resolution.

CONTRACT DUTIES:

• Conduct site inspections and assess potential issues, risks, and opportunities for additional work.
• Manage multiple projects, ensuring timelines, quality, and client expectations are met.
• Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, installers, and internal teams to maintain strong working relationships.
• Attend project meetings, providing insights on feasibility, challenges, and project planning.
• Support overall business needs with ad hoc tasks and ensure smooth project execution.
