COORDINATOR. TEAM PLAYER. COMMUNICATOR

As a Site Supervisor at Sarens Projects, you are responsible for coordinating, overseeing, and coaching during the execution of assigned lifting and transport tasks. With your knowledge, expertise, and passion for the heavy lifting world, you lead various technically interesting projects successfully. Due to strong growth, we are looking for a Site Supervisor. In this role, you will be part of the ‘project operations’ team and will be responsible for efficient and effective execution of the onsite project scope, according to the Group SHEQ standards and the Sarens project management methodology.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for an experienced supervisor, a stress-resistant initiator and coach. A high degree is a nice asset, but at Sarens we attach more importance to the right mentality: a natural born communicator, a hands-on team coach, an eye for safety and a flexible attitude.

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 5 years on site and operational experience in the heavy lift and special transport industry. Ideally as a Site Supervisor or similar.
  • Possession of a lifting certificate, critical load lifting certification, or a VCA certificate is a plus. A foreman training certificate is also a great advantage!
  • Knowledge of mechanics and hydraulics
  • Knowledge of lifting plans (reading and interpreting).
  • Fluent in English (reading and speaking)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Flexible attitude towards tasks, working hours, and locations (Europe) – You get what you give.

Responsibilities
  • Check the equipment and ensure compliance with certificates.
  • Conduct SHEQ inspections on the site.
  • Review lifting plans and ensure they align with reality.
  • Assist the crane operator in setting up the crane.
  • Organize start work meeting, go through lifting set-up together with a team.
  • Provide daily guidance for lifting and rigging operations.
  • Report, discuss, and resolve on-site ad hoc issues.
  • Being in regular contact with a project manager or a site manager
  • Act as the point of contact for the client on practical matters.
    In this role, you will report to the Project Operations Manager and work in collaboration with Project Engineers, Project Managers, Riggers, and Crane Operators.
