SITE SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER – GLOBAL OPERATIONS | AEROSPACE & ELECTRONICS MANUFACTURING

Location: Hauppauge, NY
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Reports To: Site Leader (Dotted Line to Division SCM)
Travel: 10–15% Domestic & International (approx. 2 weeks per quarter)

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a strategic, results-driven Supply Chain Leader with demonstrated success in global supply chain management and leadership to join our Hauppauge site. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of end-to-end supply chain operations, including Planning, Procurement, Logistics, Inventory Control, and Supplier Development, within a high-mix, low-volume aerospace and electronics manufacturing environment.
Reporting directly to the Site Leader and functionally to the Division SCM, the ideal candidate will possess a strong track record of team leadership, global sourcing experience, and import/export compliance, along with the ability to drive transformation and alignment with divisional strategies across commercial, military, OEM, and aftermarket markets.
This is a high-visibility role requiring approximately 10–15% travel, including supplier development visits both domestically and internationally.

KEY HIRING REQUIREMENTS (PER HIRING MANAGER’S NOTES):

  • Candidate must clearly demonstrate leadership and team-building accomplishments on their resume.
  • Must have extensive experience in global supply chain operations across multiple geographies.
  • Must be well-versed in import/export compliance, including documentation, regulations, and trade controls.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field; APICS/CPM certification strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in global supply chain management within a manufacturing setting
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including team development, change management, and strategic planning
  • Proven success in global procurement, sourcing, and supplier relationship management
  • Strong knowledge of international trade, import/export regulations, customs documentation, and compliance procedures
  • Advanced proficiency in MRP/ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and data analysis platforms
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proven ability to collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Aerospace and/or Electronics Manufacturing experience
  • AS9100/ISO9001 certified manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience in high-mix, low-volume production
  • Deep expertise in supplier development, contract negotiation, and Lean supply chain strategies
Responsibilities
  • Provide executive leadership and strategic direction across all supply chain functions, ensuring seamless material flow, inventory accuracy, and delivery performance.
  • Lead and coach a high-performing team in Planning, Procurement, Logistics, and Supplier Development, setting clear KPIs, accountability, and succession plans.
  • Oversee global sourcing, supplier consolidation, and broker management to drive cost reductions, improve delivery performance, and mitigate risk.
  • Ensure import/export compliance with all applicable regulations (ITAR, EAR, Customs), documentation, and control processes.
  • Own and improve metrics such as Purchase Price Variance (PPV), Inventory Turnover, Days on Hand, Obsolescence Reduction, and Cash Flow Performance.
  • Develop and execute supplier scorecards, long-term agreements, and sourcing strategies that support program and customer delivery requirements.
  • Apply Lean manufacturing principles, including pull systems, Kanban, value stream mapping, and waste elimination to optimize material flow.
  • Collaborate with site and division leadership to align site SCM activities with division-wide initiatives and strategic goals.
  • Leverage advanced ERP/MRP systems and analytics tools to drive data-based decision making and continuous process improvement.
  • Manage departmental budgets and drive automation initiatives to improve planning accuracy and operational efficiency.
