At DOC, we’re looking for a proactive and dedicated Site Support Officer to support our Site Lead in keeping our premises safe, welcoming, and fully operational. As the Site Support Officer, you’ll be at the heart of DOC’s site management — supporting the smooth and safe running of our facilities, coordinating key operations, and fostering a workplace environment where staff, volunteers, and visitors can thrive. This casual role will provide coverage for staff absences and peak periods. Hours will vary based on operational needs. The position will be focussed on: Coordinate day-to-day site operations including facilities requests, fleet management, health and safety, and general office services Conduct site inductions, safety checks, and coordinate emergency preparedness activities such as fire and lockdown drills Serve as the primary site contact for facility issues, liaising with contractors, Property teams, and IT for maintenance and improvements Lead fleet coordination at site to ensure vehicles meet NZ safety standards and are serviced and maintained appropriately Support local implementation of national initiatives through effective office communications and knowledge management Click here for the Role Description Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience If you have some of the following, we are keen to hear from you: Experience in office support and coordination, facilities, or fleet management Familiarity with DOC systems, tools, and a strong understanding of DOC’s culture and values Ability to manage multiple priorities independently with a proactive ‘can-do’ attitude Skilled at collaborating and communicating with diverse customers and stakeholders Demonstrates problem-solving skills, trust-building, and supports peer success Shows cultural awareness, including using te reo and tikanga in day-to-day work Plans and organises work efficiently to meet objectives with high personal and professional standards Seeks and applies feedback to continuously improve and innovate Full NZ Drivers’ License Mō te tīma | About the team This role is part of the National Property and Fleet Team under the Asset Management Unit (AMU).
