Mō te tūranga | About the role The Auckland Inner Islands Site Support Officer plays a key role in supporting the Hauraki Gulf Inner Islands team, providing essential administrative, logistical and fleet support across offices located on Hauturu, Kawau, Motuora. Tiritiri Matangi, and Motutapu Islands, Motuihe and Devonport. This is a unique opportunity to work across multiple island sites while supporting a diverse range of biodiversity, visitor, heritage and community programmes. You’ll help keep our operations running smoothly and safely, ensuring our teams have what they need to deliver meaningful conservation outcomes. The position will be focussed on: Supporting the Site Lead to ensure smooth and safe operation of DOC premises, acting as the main site contact for office and facility issues Being the go-to person for general office management Ensuring DOC pool vehicles at site are fit for purpose and maintained as required (such as services and WOFs etc) Support key site health and safety tasks such as safety/fire drills, site inductions, regular checks and ACC safety audits Please note: This role is 0.5FTE.
