JOB DESCRIPTION

Site Surveyor to work out of our Ramsgate office (but travel to site). IMI Ltd specialises in the design, manufacture and installation of architectural finishes for the elevator and escalator industry.
We are looking for an experienced surveyor with excellent attention to detail. Experience in surveying lift car interiors, escalator balustrades and architraves is preferable but not essential. The main duties will be to conduct site surveys for future and current projects. The role also involves using digital systems to upload surveys and to track daily site survey progress. The role will also involve supporting the Design Team when in the office. Basic CAD skills are desirable but there is the opportunity to develop these skills from scratch. The ability to read and interpret architectural drawings is essential for this role.
Efficiently organising your time, double-checking your own work, while maintaining high standards of safety and quality are all essential for the role of Site Surveyor.
You will report directly to our Design Coordinator and be closely collaborating with the Design Team, Project Manager, Production Manager and Installation Manager.
You will be required to drive an IMI vehicle for this role, so a safe and high standard of driving will also be required.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in a surveying position is essential
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings is essential
  • Excellent personal time management skills
  • Basic CAD skills are preferable but not essential
  • Previous experience in working in the lift/escalator industry is preferable but not essential
  • Ability to work on your feet all day
  • Full UK driving licence is essential
  • CSCS Card preferable but can be provided for the right candidate
