Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As a Site Trainer, you will play a key role in delivering effective training and development across our Buckie sites. You will ensure our people are trained to the highest standards, fully equipped with the knowledge and confidence they need to succeed. From designing engaging training materials and SOPs to delivering onboarding and on-the-job training, you will champion a culture of continuous learning, compliance, and operational excellence.

You will also mentor Department Trainers, support apprenticeship programmes, and help build strong community links through local partnerships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the review and authorisation of SOPs to ensure they remain clear, accurate, and compliant.
  • Deliver engaging onboarding and induction programmes to ensure new employees feel welcomed and aligned with our company values.
  • Provide hands-on shop floor training, assessing and verifying competence and confidence in daily tasks.
  • Monitor trainee progress, maintain training records, and report on training activity to site management.
  • Support site audits by ensuring training documentation and practices are audit-ready at all times.
  • Work with departmental leads to identify skills gaps and implement effective training plans.
  • Lead or support apprenticeship programmes and community engagement initiatives such as school partnerships.
  • Mentor and support Department Trainers to drive high-quality, consistent training across the site.
  • Champion continuous improvement in training systems and methods in line with industry best practice.
