QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education & Experience:
  • High School Diploma with 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Associate’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree with 0 years of relevant experience
  • Security Clearance:
  • Active DoD TS/SCI clearance
  • Certifications:
  • CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or CCWA (Certified Wireless Analysis Professional) certification is required.
  • Must hold a DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification
Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
Peraton requires a Network Administrator to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) - 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order. This position is located at Fort Bragg, NC.

Network Administrator (LAN/WAN)

  • Monitors the LAN and WAN equipment and circuits utilizing Riverbed Event Manager.
  • Performs initial triage and resolves or escalates technical problems for established networks.
  • Serves as the technical specialist in network problems and emergencies; assists in troubleshooting and resolution of network production problems.
  • Maintains network operations, expansion, and potential abuse through enterprise network intrusion detection system, firewalls, and VPN devices.
  • Maintains documentation, which may include CMDB information, as-built drawings, circuit inventory, equipment inventory, configurations, and training materials.
  • Accurately documents instances of hardware failure, repair, installation, and removal.
  • Administers the operation of all LAN/WAN-related network services according to Government policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates and implements network software and hardware upgrades.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves LAN/WAN performance, connectivity, and related network problems.
  • Administers LAN/WAN security, antivirus, and spam control measures.
  • Uses a variety of tools to monitor and troubleshoot the network.
  • Creates monitoring reports and logs and ensures the functionality of links.
  • Documents and maintains network topologies.
  • Resolves ticket requests, works to resolve incidents, and escalates to the Engineering team when required.
