Responsibilities

THE ROLE

Ventia is excited to announce that we have won a new scope of work! We are seeking to engage an Electrician to support our Living Services team working on Ventia’s Square Kilometre Array Project (SKAO) in South Murchinson. Reporting to the Village Manager, this role will see you working on-site performing integrated facilities management. This will consist of preventative and reactive maintenance works on crib rooms, commercial kitchens and associated buildings on a 200 people camp.
This is a full-time permanent role, working 12hours days from 06:00am – 06: 00pm on a 2:2 roster. The point-of-hire for this position is either Perth (with flights from Jandakot) or Geraldton, WA to Boolardy Airstrip in South Murchinson.
The salary package for this position is $134,000 + Superannuation.

YOUR DUTIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Diagnose and fix electrical faults and malfunctions in systems such as lighting, power outlets, and equipment
  • Address issues related to electrical panels, circuit breakers, and other electrical components
  • Respond quickly to electrical emergencies, including power outages, electrical fires, and equipment failures
  • Keep accurate records of electrical work performed, including installations, repairs, and maintenance activities
  • Work closely with other trades and camp personnel to coordinate electrical work and support overall camp operations
