Description Position: Equipment Operator Reports to: Site Foreman Hourly Rate: $28-38hr / Based on Experience and CDL Date: June 2026 We have an immediate opening for an experienced and safety-minded Skid Steer Operator. T Thomann Asphalt is a family-owned full-service asphalt paving company. We specialize in parking lot maintenance, including paving, patching, seal coating, crack sealing, and drain work, as well as site work, which encompasses a full complement of grading, excavating, and utility installation services. Essential Functions Operation and daily maintenance of equipment, which may include operating pavers, rollers, skid steers, screeds, asphalt paving, and concrete equipment Transporting materials to work sites Job site preparation, which includes general labor work, the understanding of grades, efficient time management, and the prevention of possible hazards Supervisory Responsibility This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment This job operates primarily in an outdoor work environment, in all weather conditions. Physical Demands The employee is frequently required to stand and occasionally climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must be able to push, pull, move and lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to climb and descend a flight of stairs as needed. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. Extended hours, nights, and weekend work may be necessary based on business needs. During the season, the typical workweek is approximately 50-60 hours. Travel This position may require occasional travel and out-of-town work.
