Position Overview The Skid Steer Operator at Professional Excavators & Construction Inc. is responsible for operating skid steer loaders to assist with excavation, material handling, and site preparation activities. This role requires a skilled operator who can maneuver equipment safely and efficiently across various job sites while supporting the overall construction process. Key Responsibilities Operate skid steer loaders to move materials, dig, level surfaces, and assist with various site preparation tasks. Perform daily equipment inspections and report any mechanical issues to maintenance teams promptly. Ensure safe operation of machinery in compliance with company and site safety policies. Assist ground crews with loading, unloading, and transporting materials as needed. Maintain a clean and organized worksite, supporting efficient workflow. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate daily tasks. Follow all safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during operations. Previous experience operating skid steer loaders or similar equipment in a construction environment. Valid Heavy Equipment Operator certification or relevant training is preferred. Knowledge of safety protocols and ability to work safely around heavy machinery. Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team. Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
