Part-time on-call Skill Instructor 2 - Driver positions available as well. Works as needed and does not have a set schedule. *Schedules may vary. Please check with your recruiter to understand the availability of a specific schedule. Responsibilities Drive large capacity vehicles in order to provide transportation to program participants to/from training center and community outings. Administer prescribed medications, monitor self-administrations of medications, follow protocol for disposal of medications, maintain medication count and communicate with pharmacy as needed Facilitate skill development programs for assigned participants including required instruction, assistance, prompting and documentation. Actively participate in ideas, suggestions and feedback on assigned skill development programs Actively facilitate, assist and encourage program participants to participate and engage in meaningful day activities (i.e., Art, Fitness, Social, Adult Education), community inclusion trips and other routine activities in program schedule through own involvement and participation. Actively participate in ideas, suggestions and feedback on meaningful day activities. Ensure outlined processes and timelines are met in relation to paid vocational skill training, including assisting in contract work, performing quality assurance for contract work, loading/unloading of contract work, etc Implement personal care, meal and behavior service protocols as outlined by facility and provide care for program participants, including activities of daily living (personal hygiene needs, toileting, mealtime assistance and repositioning). Facilitate safe working environment through performing routine housekeeping duties, reporting of potential hazards, and consistently maintaining assigned facility/area in safe and clean manner Report to work during inclement weather to ensure adequate supervision and care of all individuals in the home. This may include sheltering in place during a hurricane. Education/Certification/Licensure Requirements High school diploma (required) 18 years of age of older (required) Valid FL Driver’s License with no major driving violations at all times (preferred) Read, write and comprehend English with the ability to remain calm and communicate during a crisis (required) Work Experience/Related Requirements Previous working knowledge utilizing basic office equipment (computer, copier, tablet, calculator, etc.) (preferred) Hoyer lift, van lift, and adaptive equipment (wheelchairs, scooters, walkers, etc.) (preferred) Quest, Inc. is a drug free workplace and an Equal Opportunity Employer. Responsibilities
The Skill Instructor is responsible for driving large capacity vehicles to transport program participants and facilitating skill development programs. They will also assist participants in engaging in meaningful activities and ensure a safe working environment.
