Job Responsibilities: Our Cat Heavy Equipment Technician internship is eligible for the SkillBridge program, a Department of Defense initiative to help transitioning, active-duty service members gain valuable civilian work experience. This program provides professional growth and development of technical skills and knowledge through mentorship, instructor-led and computer-based learning, and on-the-job training preparing participants for a rewarding career with Mustang Cat. As a Cat Heavy Equipment Mechanic, your primary responsibility is to determine the status of services needed for various heavy and light construction equipment and perform the necessary repairs and maintenance to restore the equipment to proper operation. This includes set-up, repair, service, diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and installation of replacement parts on Caterpillar diesel-powered heavy equipment. Benefits: Service members participating in this DOD SkillBridge program will continue receiving their military compensation and benefits, while Mustang Cat provides the civilian training and work experience. Upon successful completion, participants will be eligible for continued employment with Mustang Cat.
