JOB TITLE: HIGHLY SKILLED HANDYMAN / BUILDER

Location: Dublin County
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports to: Supervisor / Site Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a highly skilled Handyman/Builder to join our team. This role requires a well-rounded professional with hands-on experience across a variety of trades, including carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, minor plumbing, and electrical work. You’ll be responsible for building, repairing, and maintaining residential and light commercial structures with a high standard of quality and attention to detail.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in general construction or handyman services
  • Advanced skills in at least two trades (e.g., carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • High level of craftsmanship and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in various physical conditions
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Own set of basic tools (specialty tools provided as needed)

Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide range of construction, repair, and maintenance tasks, including:
  • Carpentry (framing, trim, cabinetry, decks, etc.)
  • Drywall installation and repair
  • Painting and finishing
  • Flooring installation and repair (tile, hardwood, vinyl, etc.)
  • Light plumbing (fixture installs, leak repairs, etc.)
  • Light electrical (outlets, switches, fixture installs, etc.)
  • Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical drawings
  • Ensure all work is completed to code and safety standards
  • Provide accurate estimates of labour and materials when needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Communicate clearly with clients and team members
  • Troubleshoot and problem-solve unexpected issues on the job site
  • Use and maintain a wide range of hand and power tools
  • Transport tools and materials to and from job sites (company vehicle may be provided)
