JOB SUMMARY

AMC Telecom is a telecommunications contractor located in Calgary, AB., Greater Vancouver & Vancouver Island, BC. Our dynamic team of industry experts and accredited personnel are specialized in the design, installation, and maintenance of technology systems. Established in 2016, we are a commercial telecommunication contractor, that provides a diverse range of services to our clients that includes Splicing, Civil Work, HVAC Services, Fiber Optics Installation and maintenance.
We are looking for a laborer to join our Civil work team. The new hire will be expected to work outdoors with our team of experienced technicians, across our Calgary, Reddeer and Vancouver Lowermainland sites. Any and all transport and accommodations will be paid for by the company. Employees will receive live-out allowances for days working in BC. The new hire will receive complete and formal training by our team. Any required certificates for work will also be organised by the company.
Experience in construction, ground disturbance, locates, and directional drilling an asset. Rate of pay will depend on experience.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A full class 5 drivers license (Class 1 or 3 an asset).
  • Willingness to travel for work daily - Ample notice will be givevn for travelling to BC.
  • Willing to work outdoors in most weather conditions.
  • Able to meet physical requirements of the position which include lifting equipment weighing between 55lbs to 75lbs, trenching, backfilling, and aiding our experienced technicians with heavy duty machinery.
  • Construction or HDD labour experience is preferred
Responsibilities
  • Assist HDD operators and locators on active drill sites
  • Machine- and hand-trenching, backfilling, hydrovaccing, pulling cables, and any other manual tasks as deemed fit and necessary by site manager.
  • Maintain a clean and organized worksite.
  • Follow safety procedures and company guidelines at all times.
  • Support safe operation of drilling equipment and fluid systems.
  • Travel out of town for projects when required

    Pay: $28.00-$45.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 40 per week
