Moncrief Construction is looking to add Qualified Water and Sewer Leadhand/Pipe installer to our growing company. We are looking for an individual that brings a solid work ethic and is willing to work out of town and extra hours when required. Moncrief Construction offers competitive wages and benefit package.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Work with Divisional superintendent in coordinating project and driving production
• Ensuring quality of work through hands on supervision of crew
• Verifying elevations and grades to ensure proper installation if utilities
• Testing of water lines (pressure, chlorine, bacteria) as required
• Set up of temporary water services
• Fusing of HDPE pipe
• Other related duties as required

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in water and sewer construction an asset.
• Experience as a lead hand of water and sewer crew.
• Current Valid Drivers Licence.
• Ability to read and understand engineered drawings and specifications.
• The ability to problem solve and stay focused in high pressure situations.
• Prepare and grade trenches manually with shovel or by working within close proximity of excavator operators.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Patience in dealing with new skills training and mentorship.
• Must be a team player.
• Willing to learn and implement Con-Tech’s core values and processes.
