SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience in a labourer or similar role preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Liaising with management in relation to stock levels and material storage.
  • Carrying out regular stocktakes.
  • Record keeping of stock, materials coming in and out.
  • Ensure primary and secondary offices are operational & secure.
  • Ensure continued and convenient supply of relevant materials in stores and at sites, loading and unloading material, tools, and equipment.
  • Ensure stores and sites are kept clean/clear and tidy.
  • Removing debris from sites.
  • Safely drive company vehicles to and from sites and maintain company vehicles, keep them in a clean and tidy state.
  • Assist in preparing and ensuring satellite welfares and sites are kept in a useable, tidy and clean state.
  • Assist with deliveries and storing them in the allocated areas, ensuring health and safety is kept to a high standard.
  • Liaise with management, sub-contractors and site contacts and communicating any issues of hazards to management.
  • Suggest improvements to any aspects of work and assist in implementing changes or new processes.
  • Operate hand and power tools.
  • Unload deliveries using a forklift or telehandler.
  • Carrying out basic pointing/mastic/joinery & decoration works.
