The role of Skilled Machine Fitter is multifaceted and requires both industry-specific qualifications and technical abilities. Responsibilities

ROLE SUMMARY

  • Days of Employment: Normal shift pattern will be any 5 working days from 7.
  • Working Hours: 8.5 hours per day. This includes a 30-minute unpaid break.
  • Normal Working Hours: Variable shift pattern consisting of the following shifts:
  • Shift 1: 0600-1430hrs
  • Shift 2: 1000-1830hrs
  • Shift 3: 1400-2230hrs
  • Contracted Hours: 40 hours per week
    To support business performance and compliance, we are recruiting ambitious innovative Skilled Machine Fitter to join our dedicated and inspirational team.

As a Skilled Machine Fitter, you will be responsible and accountable for day-to-day assembly, dismantlement, equipment preventative maintenance, monitoring performance metrics, and troubleshooting faults on our range of nutraceutical manufacturing and packaging process equipment. This will include equipment such as:

  • Capsule manufacturing equipment.
  • Tablet manufacturing equipment.
  • Gummy manufacturing equipment.
  • Softgel manufacturing equipment.
  • Packaging line equipment.

Working within this role, you must comply with all Security Guidelines, Environmental Health and Safety regulations, Food Safety Regulations, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and the current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
The effectiveness of a Skilled Machine Fitter will directly contribute to an efficient, customer-focused, manufacturing process that drives the effective operation of plant, equipment, and systems. This means ensuring Parkacre delivers on its targets by achieving against our Health, Safety, and Quality, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

KEY TASKS:

  • Engage in role training activities to meet fundamental requirements to prepare, operate, control product manufacturing machinery.
  • Assembly, dismantlement, and servicing of all production manufacturing equipment. Follow specific instructions to assemble parts, components, or materials, ensuring exact accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
  • Machine troubleshooting and fault finding.
  • Constant review of production line to ensure optimal effectiveness, monitoring machine performance metrics. Ensure the machinery is operating within operational parameters, report all faults or system failures to nominated Supervisor.
  • In consultation with Production staff, identify equipment and areas requiring attention and reporting machine part ‘wear & tear’ metrics to support effective replacement requirements and stock control of all relevant consumables.
  • Complete preventative maintenance and reactive worksheets from Maintenance Scheduling Program.
  • Ensure the hygiene standards of operating areas are prepared, maintained, and concluded to meet the highest levels of hygiene standards.
  • Perform other maintenance equipment duties as requested.
  • Adhere to mandatory Personal Protective Equipment regulations.
  • At all times, adhere to all Health and Safety controls and immediately escalate any concerns relating to potential risks, near misses, incidents, or accidents.
  • Continuous improvement mind set which will be evidenced in the implementation of engineering and technical projects. Always working to achieve and exceed all departmental KPI’s.
