Job Description Summary Job Description Job Title: Maintenance Team Leader Location: Vadodara Department: Maintenance Reports To: Maintenance Manager Job Summary: The Maintenance Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the maintenance team, ensuring that all equipment and facilities are maintained in optimal working condition. This role involves leading a team of maintenance technicians, coordinating maintenance schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of maintenance technicians. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback for continuous improvement. Foster a collaborative and productive team environment. Maintenance Operations: Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance activities. Ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks to minimize downtime. Coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance activities without disrupting operations. Safety and Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits. Promote a culture of safety and encourage team members to report hazards or incidents. Resource Management: Manage maintenance budgets and control costs. Ensure efficient use of tools, equipment, and materials. Maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings. Implement best practices in maintenance management. Stay updated on industry trends and technologies. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment history. Prepare reports on maintenance performance, issues, and recommendations. Communicate maintenance status and issues to management and other stakeholders. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Skills: Strong knowledge of maintenance practices and equipment. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Proficiency in maintenance management software and tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Certifications: Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or similar certification is a plus. Working Conditions: This position may require working in various environments, including outdoor settings and within industrial facilities.
