Matcon Excavation & Shoring Ltd is one of the Lower Mainland’s leading and most highly respected construction companies. Due to continued growth within our Excavation & Shoring Division, we are currently seeking applicants for all shoring positions(Foreman/Lead hand/Nozzleman/Driller/Skilled Labourer). You will be part of a rapidly growing group with room to move up with in the company.

Experience in Shoring Construction is an requirement. Applicants must also have the ability to use small tools such as saws, hammers, drills, etc. Starting wage depends on experience level in respected field -Foremen, Drillers, Nozzlemen, Pump Operators, Grout Mixers, Meshers, Labourers.

• Able to perform manual labor (i.e. heavy lifting, shoveling, chucking steel, etc.)
• Works in a safe manner. Understands and abides by the Matcon Health & Safety Plan
• Experience around heavy machinery
• Must have the ability and willingness to work in all types of adverse conditions such as extreme weather
• Be able to recognize safety issues
• Ability to work without close supervision once directed on task, and follow directions
• Must be dependable and have means of getting to work on time
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods; handle and manipulate objects on a repetitive basis

Must have your own CSA approved steel toe boots. All specialized PPE is provided during orientation. Every Matcon employee is required to arrive for orientation clean shaven for a Respirator Fit Exam, if you are required to wear one beyond the orientation you must remain clean shaven, as a condition of employment.
