Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Skilled Technician - Plant Room to join our team in Phu Quoc, Vietnam. As a crucial member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various equipment and systems across our facilities. Install, commission, and maintain a wide range of equipment and systems according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Conduct routine inspections and perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity. Diagnose technical issues and apply corrective measures promptly to minimise downtime. Execute repairs, including replacement of components and essential parts, to maintain reliable operation of all systems. Respond efficiently to urgent service requests, particularly during peak operational hours. Ensure compliance with local health, safety, and hygiene regulations whilst working in various areas of the facility. Safely handle tools, spare parts, and maintenance materials, adhering to proper usage and storage protocols. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, utilising appropriate tools and personal protective equipment (PPE). Report significant repair needs or potential equipment replacements to the supervisor for planning and approval. Keep accurate records of all maintenance work, including repairs and part replacements. Collaborate with other departments to support the effective operation of the facility and contribute to broader organisational goals. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical certification in a relevant field is preferred. 3-5 years of hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial or industrial equipment. Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems relevant to the facility's operations. Proven ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve faults in equipment efficiently and safely. Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment relevant to the job role. Thorough understanding of safety protocols and regulatory compliance related to equipment maintenance and repair. Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams. Physical fitness to perform manual tasks and work in various environmental conditions. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and other departments. Flexibility to work in shifts and respond to emergency calls when necessary. Familiarity with local regulations and standards in Phu Quoc, Vietnam is advantageous.
