JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Welder to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication, welding, and finishing of shipping containers, ensuring that all work meets our high standards for safety, quality, and craftsmanship. Experience in joinery work and finishing work is highly desirable and will be considered a significant advantage.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience as a welder, with a portfolio of previous work in fabrication and finishing.
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and arc welding techniques.
• Experience in working with shipping containers or similar large metal structures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to welding and metal fabrication.
• Desirable: Experience in joinery work, including the installation of wooden structures, fittings, and finishes.

• Fabrication and Welding: Perform welding tasks on shipping containers using various techniques such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding, ensuring structural integrity and quality finish.
• Modification and Customisation: Modify and customize shipping containers according to client specifications, including cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components.
• Finishing: Carry out grinding, polishing, and painting to achieve a professional and durable finish on all projects.
• Joinery Work (Desirable): Assist in the installation of wooden structures, insulation, and interior fittings within the containers, ensuring seamless integration with metalwork.
• Quality Control: Inspect completed work to ensure it meets the company’s standards and client requirements.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe and organized working environment.
• Working to timescales: We work to timescales to finish modification, creations and repairs. Time keeping is essential.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including engineers and designers, to deliver high-quality projects on time.
