POSITION:
We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Skills Centre Technician to join our team and play a key role in supporting our teaching and training activities. This is a varied and dynamic role where no two days are the same — from setting up surgical and clinical equipment to preparing anatomical models and specimens, you’ll be at the heart of delivering high-quality courses and events.
You’ll ensure our training runs smoothly behind the scenes, support faculty with AV setups, and deliver essential health and safety briefings to participants. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a practical, fast-paced environment and enjoys making things happen.
REQUIREMENTS:
We’re looking for someone with strong organisational skills and a methodical, conscientious approach to their work. You’ll be a good communicator who can work effectively with colleagues, faculty, and participants at all levels. Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work with minimal supervision are key.
While prior experience in a medical, scientific, or technical setting is desirable, it’s not essential. Full training and mentorship will be provided by the Skills Centre Manager and Senior Technician to help you excel in the role.
As part of the Surgical Skills Centre team, your responsibilities will include:
