We deliver Level 3, 5, and 7 Leadership and Management apprenticeships, among others, and are currently expanding our support for Level 5 Operations / Departmental Manager apprentices.

SKILLS COACH - EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

In addition to a background in delivering apprenticeships or learning and development, ideal candidates will possess some or all of the following:

  • Level 5 Qualification in Leadership and Management or equivalent
  • Level 3 Award in Teaching and Training, or equivalent
  • Other qualifications in teaching, learning, assessment, or internal verification.
  • Minimum GCSE A*-C in English and Mathematics.
  • Team leader or supervisory experience with involvement in operational management.
  • Knowledge of management and leadership apprenticeships
  • Customer-oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive with a focus on continuous improvement and self-development.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a sense of accountability.

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

As a Skills Coach, you’ll be instrumental in guiding a diverse cohort of learners through the Level 5 Operations / Departmental Manager Apprenticeship standards, focusing on personalised development. This role requires a unique blend of coaching skills, commitment, and the ability to seamlessly integrate on-the-job and off-the-job learning components into learners’ development journeys. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to our challenging and ambitious agenda for the future.
This role is fully remote, and the successful candidate should live within a 2-hour commute of London for occasional operations meetings and company away days in-person.

SKILLS COACH - KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide exemplary coaching, support, and motivation to a cohort of adult learners enrolled in the Level 5 Operations / Departmental Manager Apprenticeships.
  • Develop robust plans for each learner’s unique learning journey, showcasing deliberate and well-structured progress from their starting point.
  • Integrate on-the-job and off-the-job learning components into learners’ development journeys, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience.
  • Tailor additional support and catch-up solutions to meet individual needs and personal goals.
  • Engage line managers in learners’ progress and conduct regular tripartite reviews.
  • Prepare learners for the end-point assessment gateway, ensuring they are well-equipped to succeed.
  • Ensure learners fulfill off-the-job learning requirements and meet the standards’ expectations.
  • Proactively engage and re-engage learners who may be falling behind in their learning.
  • Participate in Apprenticeship Team & Standardisation meetings to contribute to the continuous improvement of our coaching practices.
  • Foster a passion for learning and effectively engage with learners from diverse industries and backgrounds.
