Skills Trainer - Full-Time Part-Time Opening | Chillicothe MO | Community-Based | Non-Exempt | $19.00/hour CDD is looking for a compassionate, self-directed Skills Trainer to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities build the life skills they need to thrive independently. Working one-on-one in people's homes and out in the community, you will support skill development in areas like budgeting, domestic tasks, and transportation -- helping people live life on their own terms. What You'll Do - Support individuals in their homes and community with acquiring, building, and maintaining daily living skills. - Develop meaningful, individualized implementation strategies based on each person's Person-Centered Plan. - Provide transportation as needed to support community networking goals. - Document progress in Therap within 24 hours of each activity record completion. - Ensure services align with personal outcomes in each individual's support plan. - Plan cost-effective travel routes and manage caseload efficiently. - Provide companionship, emotional support, and behavioral crisis intervention as needed. - Complete all required training and certifications before expiration. What You Bring Required - High school diploma or GED. - Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and proof of insurance. - Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass background and registry screening. - Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification. Preferred - Familiarity with community-based services for individuals with IDD. - At least one year of experience supporting community integration for individuals with disabilities. Responsibilities

Support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in acquiring and maintaining daily living skills within their homes and community. Develop individualized implementation strategies and document progress using Therap to ensure personal outcomes are met.
