Skitube Track Inspector (Fixed-Term) Locations: Perisher Employment Type: Perisher – Full Time Salary Applications Open: 22 December 2025 Applications Close: 22 January 2026 Help Keep One of Australia’s Most Unique Railways Running Safely As a Skitube Track Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and ongoing operation of the Skitube Alpine Railway — a vital, Swiss-designed rack (cog) railway providing all-weather access to Perisher. Based at Bullocks Flat, this hands-on, safety-critical role involves inspecting, maintaining, and reporting on railway infrastructure to ensure safe operations in all conditions, including within one of the longest underground rail tunnels in Australia. This fixed-term opportunity, initially through to December 2026 with a view to permanency, offers an immediate start and a competitive hourly rate of $32.84 – $47.55, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The role is best suited to candidates with proven track or railway maintenance experience who thrive in compliance-driven environments, take pride in precision, and understand the importance of identifying issues early to protect both operations and passenger safety.
