Step One Services Ltd are looking for a Community Support Worker to join our team. At Step One Services Ltd we pride ourselves on keeping people independent with in their own home and community.
We are looking for a team of female support workers, (this is due to service users’ preference) who can work as part of a team as well as on their own. We are looking for support workers preferably with experience, but this is not essential as training can be given.
You will be working on a two to one ratio until 10pm and the sleep night will be on a one-to-one basis as the service user sleeps during the night.
Due to location, you will need to be a car driver.
You will be working in Shaldon, Teignmouth.
This will initially be working with one lady who has severe cerebral palsy and learning disabilities. She will require support with all aspects of personal care, support with eating and drinking, medication and support with mobility. You will be required to support with appointments and trips out.
The service user lives with her sister who has recently had a stroke, it is expected that she will require to be part of the care and support package.
The hours are: -
Saturday – Sunday
7.00AM – 10PM – 2 carers
Wednesday – Friday Mornings
7.00AM -9.00AM - 1 carer working with family member (until September)
Sleep in nights, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
10pm – 7am 1 carer.
These hours will change from September to cover seven days a week.

What we need from you:
Due to location access to a vehicle is required.
Available to work early mornings, late evenings sleeping nights and weekends.
