OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Sleep Study Technician to join our growing team at CLM Sleep Co. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for helping others achieve better sleep and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Associate’s degree in respiratory therapy or a related field.
· Current Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification.
· At least one year of experience as a Sleep Study Technician.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Work Location: Adelaide
Salary Range: $72,000 - $80,000 (plus superannuation)

Responsibilities

· Conducting comprehensive polysomnography (PSG) studies on patients with suspected sleep disorders, including the application of electrodes and sensors.
· Setting up, calibrating, and monitoring PSG equipment, ensuring accurate data collection throughout the study.
· Scoring sleep studies according to established guidelines, identifying and documenting sleep stages, arousals, respiratory events, and limb movements.
· Educating patients on sleep hygiene, pre- and post-study instructions, and other related topics, addressing their concerns and questions with empathy.
· Monitoring patients during sleep studies for any adverse events or discomfort, responding promptly and appropriately.
· Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records, including study logs and reports.
· Assisting with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, ensuring optimal performance.
· Assisting with other clinical tasks as needed, such as patient scheduling and preparation.
